Andrew Cloke
Currently working for Envy Post Production in the heart of London’s Soho.
I’m part of the very busy online department, supporting five Avid Symphony Online Suites and three Baselight grading suites.
My time is divided between conforming and pregrading longform projects, mainly, but not limited UK Broadcast, and more complicated tapeless workflows for a variety of shortform projects. As well as using Final Cut Pro and Avid to conform and pregrade edits that we receive from both in and out of house.
Studied in Cambridge, earning a 2:1(Combine Hons) in Film & Music from Anglia Ruskin University.
It was during this time that my interest in photography grew, and I found myself specialising in Cinematography and Post Production. I went straight into working for Envy and have built up a strong set of skills working with a huge variety of formats and equipment and software.
I currently use a Nikon D7000 & D5000 to shoot, with a small selection of high quality lenses and lighting equipment. As well as a couple of Super/ Standard 8 cameras and my fathers old Pentax ME for 35mm stills.
Predominantly I work with Avid DS Nitris & Symphony, Apple Final Cut Pro & Colour, and Baselight to finish any video projects I work on. With final delivery by file or various tape formats, such as Digibeta, HD Cam & HD Cam SR.
With my stills I try to keep post processing to a minimum but I use Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom for most things.
I now spend as much time as I can working on personal projects and collaborations with as many different people as possible.
